  • Munit Mesfin Trio

    12:00pm

Munit Mesfin is an Ethio-American singer, award-winning songwriter and recording artist. In her performances, she blends her Ethiopian roots with the music she loves: jazz and soul! For this Earth Day celebration, she will be performing with two stellar musicians, Cristian Perez on guitar and Lucas Ashby on drums. Taking songs you know and those you might never heard of, this trio will improvise its way into your heart, bringing new life and rhythmic adventure to jazz and soul standards, songs of love, peace, joy, and songs that call us into action to be good caretakers of the planet we live on!

  • Veronneau

    1:15 pm

Quebecoise vocalist Lynn Veronneau and UK guitarist Ken Avis of the award-winning, world-jazz group Veronneau will perform their multilingual mix of classic songs and original compositions in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. The Arlington based musicians have toured in the UK, Europe and Canada, releasing three Top 10 charting jazz and world-music charting albums, with their band. The band has performed at the Kennedy Center, Strathmore, DC Jazz Festival and are regular performers at Blues Alley, where they will be performing as Artists in Residence all through May 2023. The Washington Post describes them as "inspiring and joyful" in performance.

  • The Honey Larks

    2:30 pm

Meet The Honey Larks. Roots music with fabulous vocal harmonies and uncensored girl chat between tunes.

In 2020, despite the lock down that took away so many live concert experiences, three best friends came together to share their love of blues music. What was intended to be a fun, one-off show turned into a female super-group with immediate fans requesting more performances.

Shows designed to be a safe space for all music lovers, celebrate blues history, and inspire viewers. Featuring Carly Harvey (DC's Queen of the Blues), Jenny Langer (Blues Hall of Fame), and Holly Montgomery (Blue Elan Records).

  • Karen Jonas

    3:45 pm

Americana/Alt-Country songwriter Karen Jonas knows how to tell a story. Her new album The Restless is “a stunning collection of dreamy and dark alt-country confessionals; a deep exploration of love and vulnerability from one of Americana’s most hopeless romantics” (Holler.Country). The Boot described the first single Rock the Boat as “a gothic swirl of liberation and possible menace.” With “vocals that twist and snap with tension and emotional depth” and a dynamic band, it’s no wonder Karen is turning heads all around the world (Country Music People, U.K.). Flanked by her longtime guitarist the inimitable Tim Bray and bassist Seth Morrissey, she dazzles with energy that showcases their nine-year touring chemistry and the true joy of their art. Karen has released five full-length records and is a three-time Wammie (Washington Area Music) Award winner for Best Country and Americana Artist, Mid Atlantic Song Contest winner, Ameripolitan Award nominee, and official SXSW and UK Americanafest Showcasing Artist. As Parklife Mag DC put it, “the voice of country music in the DMV is a big, bright voice that belongs to Virginia native Karen Jonas.”
